A prebiotic gold sea moss gel - steeped with burdock root, bladderwrack, mullein leaf, and wormwood.
Sea moss contains 92 of the body's essential minerals. It helps the body rid itself of mucus; the root cause of dis-ease in the body. Bladderwrack is a demulcent herb like sea moss, meaning it seems to work by decreasing inflammation by removing mucus. Both have plenty of iodine which could be useful for radiation poisoning.
Burdock supports & tones the liver, cleans blood, and overall aids the liver & gallbladder. It also helps mask the bladderwrack and sea moss flavour.
Mullein is great for respiratory issues like cough, colds, pneumonia, allergies, asthma.
In the past, wormwood has been used for a variety of ailments, but some confirmed benefits include: stimulating digestion and appetite as well as being antiparasitic.
*POSSIBLE CONTRAINDICATIONS
Wormwood is not recommended for those on seizure meds due to the active ingredient thujone if used in high doses; however I use a small amount in each recipe, but consult a doctor for any contraindications prior to use.
Gold Sea Moss Gel
Sea moss gel comes in a 24 oz wide mouth canning jar.
Keep refrigerated - DO NOT FREEZE.
Sea moss gel will keep for 3-4+ weeks due to its gelatenous nature and lack of fresh fruits or flavourings of that nature being added. If it's discoloured or molding toss it, but it should last roughly a month provided it's refrigerated.
Take 1 tablespoon daily or break it up into smaller servings in smoothies, soups or teas throughout the day. You can also just take a spoonful by mouth if texture is no problem for you :p
I personally enjoy putting it in the basket of my ground coffee with some ground mushrooms, cinnamon, ginger, and honey for a wicked drip style coffee - all the nutrients - and none of the gritty spices in your coffee!
Alternatively for a tasty smoothie, I will throw:
- 1 Tbsp Sea moss or a bit more
- 1 Cup Juice (usually pineapple or tropical of some kind)
- 1 Banana
- 1 Scoop Protein of your choice (something versatile like vanilla)
- 1 Scoop Collagen
- 1 tsp 14 blend mushroom powder
- 1 tsp Ashwaghanda powder
- 1 tsp Maca root powder
- .5 Cup Frozen fruit of your choice (I use everything from mixed berries to peaches and watermelon)
Make the smoothie the way you want, but this yields about 2 Booster Juice quality smoothies in my Ninja - it's a beauty.
